Accessibility Statement

CARASANA Bäderbetriebe GmbH is committed to making its voucher shop accessible in accordance with the applicable legal accessibility requirements. The applicable legal framework includes the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG), the Ordinance to the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV), and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Conformance Level AA.

This accessibility statement applies exclusively to the voucher shop available at: https://www.shop-carasana.de

Compliance Status

The voucher shop is currently partially compliant with the requirements for digital accessibility. The content and functions listed below are not yet fully accessible.

Non-accessible Content

1. Text on Images and Graphic Elements

Some pages of the voucher shop contain text displayed over images or embedded within graphic design elements. Depending on the background image or graphic design, the required minimum contrast ratio may not always be achieved. In addition, such content may only be partially accessible to assistive technologies if appropriate alternative text or programmatically determinable text information is not available.

Applicable WCAG Success Criteria: 1.1.1 – Non-text Content and 1.4.3 – Contrast (Minimum)

2. Links Without Sufficient Link Text

Some pages of the voucher shop contain links whose purpose is not clearly identifiable through visible or programmatically determinable link text. This may make it difficult for users of screen readers to understand the destination or function of the link.

Applicable WCAG Success Criterion: 2.4.4 – Link Purpose (In Context)

3. Forms and Input Fields

Some form fields within the voucher shop do not have labels that are fully associated or programmatically determinable. As a result, the forms may be more difficult to use with screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technologies.

Applicable WCAG Success Criteria: 3.3.2 – Labels or Instructions and 4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value

4. Keyboard Accessibility and Focus Management

Some interactive elements of the voucher shop may not be fully operable using a keyboard. In addition, the focus order or visible focus indicator may not be consistently implemented throughout the website.

Applicable WCAG Success Criteria: 2.1.1 – Keyboard, 2.4.3 – Focus Order and 2.4.7 – Focus Visible

5. ARIA Attributes and Assistive Technologies

On some pages, ARIA attributes may be implemented incorrectly or incompletely. In addition, certain elements may be marked with aria-hidden while still being keyboard-focusable. This may prevent assistive technologies from correctly identifying or presenting content and interactive elements.

Applicable WCAG Success Criterion: 4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value

6. Payment Process Provided by Third Parties

The payment process in the voucher shop is handled in whole or in part by external payment service providers. These technical components are supplied by third parties and are not entirely under our direct control. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that accessibility barriers may exist within the payment process, particularly regarding keyboard accessibility, focus management, form labels, error messages, or compatibility with screen readers.

Where possible, we select accessible components and work closely with the respective providers to achieve the necessary accessibility improvements.

7. Limitations in the Reservation Process

The reservation system used for wellness bookings is currently not fully accessible. In particular, limitations may exist regarding keyboard accessibility, compatibility with screen readers, and the perceivability and operability of certain functions. This technical solution is provided by an external service provider. We are working closely with the provider to improve the accessibility of the reservation process.

Planned Measures

The voucher shop is continuously reviewed and improved. Our goal is to reduce existing accessibility barriers and make the shop easier to use for all users.

The planned measures include, in particular:

Preparation of this Statement
